Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson wants to clinch.
Drake throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Drake which made him look bad.

Drake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Drake landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Drake is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Drake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Drake tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Johnson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Drake closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Drake tries to advance to mount but can't.

Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Drake's best efforts.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard but Drake has passed into side control.

Johnson wants to control but Drake is keeping busy.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Drake is standing up over Johnson. Johnson looks to escape but Drake dives into side control.

Drake stands up and beckons Johnson to his feet.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson manages to get to full guard.

Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drake works over Johnson with some ground and pound from guard.
Drake wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drake clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.
Drake wants to stall.
Johnson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Drake.
Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Drake pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Drake is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Drake struggles to land a body shot inside as Johnson controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Drake is not content to let Johnson control the position.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johnson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Drake is trying to escape and Johnson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Drake is forced to tap! Nice work there by Johnson! Very nice indeed!
