Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Leary is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: one day like this. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Burton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paddy O Leary!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Burton.
Burton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from O Leary.
Burton throws a right and a left that O Leary avoids nicely.
O Leary throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burton throws a series of punches but O Leary avoids them all with ease.
A big head kick from Burton and O Leary is sent sprawling to the canvas!


O Leary is rocked!


It looks like Paddy O Leary has been cut.
Burton is pushing down on O Leary's leg trying to pass to half guard. O Leary is fighting to maintain full guard but Burton has managed to sneak the leg through.
O Leary is still in real trouble! Can Burton finish him?
Burton with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Burton wants to free his trapped foot but O Leary is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Burton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Burton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for O Leary!
O Leary seems to have recovered his senses.

Burton throwing strikes here but O Leary is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Burton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
O Leary is in all sorts of trouble here.
Burton trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Burton misses with a head shot.
Burton controlling the pace for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Burton looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Burton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as O Leary is looking to escape.

Burton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Burton looking to ground and pound but O Leary is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
O Leary wants to control but Burton is having none of it.
Burton controlling his opponent.
O Leary wants to hold on but Burton pushes him away.

Burton wants to finish this one by submission but O Leary is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Burton.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
O Leary can't escape the position.

Burton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Burton tries to control but O Leary wriggling away.
O Leary tries to hold on but Burton pushes him away.

Burton fails to land with a series of punches.
Burton misses with a takedown attempt - O Leary sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
O Leary fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paddy O Leary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burton throws a wild body kick that O Leary sees coming a mile off.
O Leary scoring well with a low kick there.

The fight stays on the outside here - O Leary looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
O Leary fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Burton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but O Leary paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Burton misses with a low kick.
Burton throws out a powerful jab.
O Leary throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A clash of legs there as O Leary blocks the low kick.
Burton is looking to clinch.
Burton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from O Leary.
Burton drops his hands momentarily and O Leary takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Burton throws a hook to the side of O Leary's head but O Leary sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
O Leary throws a lazy right hand but Burton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
O Leary misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burton looks to land a combination but O Leary avoids it well.
O Leary waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Burton.
Burton throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as O Leary stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Burton follows into mount!
Burton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Burton looking to control but O Leary is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Burton is really struggling to control O Leary but he's trying to hold on to the position.
O Leary wants to hold on but Burton pushes him away.
Burton unloading with bombs!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burton is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But O Leary has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from O Leary!
Burton looking to hit a scissor sweep but O Leary is one step ahead there.

O Leary stays in close to Burton's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Burton dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Paddy O Leary's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Burton takes one on the button.
Burton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but O Leary manages to avoid it.
Burton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed O Leary momentarily.
Burton throws the left hand but O Leary avoids the punch easily.
Jack Burton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
O Leary throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Burton scores with a counter punch that sends O Leary to the canvas! Burton smells blood - he's punishing O Leary with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! O Leary has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Burton!
