Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Byyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genaddu Chakovshiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hans Byyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Genaddu Chakovshiy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byyler connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chakovshiy's hands.
Chakovshiy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Genaddu Chakovshiy has been cut.
Byyler swinging wildly here.
Chakovshiy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A punch combination from Byyler misses.
And Chakovshiy tries to counter it with a takedown but Byyler pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Byyler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Byyler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Chakovshiy tries to score a body lock takedown but Byyler shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hans Byyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genaddu Chakovshiy.

Byyler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Byyler connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Byyler has closed the distance and engaged Chakovshiy in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Chakovshiy counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Byyler!
Chakovshiy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Byyler is trying to buck Chakovshiy off.
Byyler is looking to regain half guard here but Chakovshiy keeps moving and retains side control.

Chakovshiy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Byyler is not content to let Chakovshiy control the position.
Byyler can't do much from the bottom here.

Chakovshiy tries for a kimura but Byyler is defending well.

Byyler sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Byyler has one foot on Chakovshiy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Byyler pushes Chakovshiy off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Byyler darts in and clinches Chakovshiy up against the cage.

Byyler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Byyler lands a right hook to the body.

Byyler throws a series of punches but Chakovshiy avoids them all with ease.
Chakovshiy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Byyler scores with a hook.
Byyler bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Byyler cracks Chakovshiy with a good jab.

Byyler moves into the clinch.

Byyler breaks from the clinch.
Byyler lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Byyler misses with a few strikes there.
Byyler fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Byyler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chakovshiy has time to react.
Hans Byyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chakovshiy takes one to the side of the head.

Chakovshiy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Byyler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chakovshiy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byyler tries to avoid it but Chakovshiy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byyler to the ground. Byyler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chakovshiy tries to keep at a distance but Byyler has taken the fight into the clinch.

Byyler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Byyler lands a right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Byyler creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Byyler content to slow the pace in the clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Chakovshiy has eaten all the pies!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Byyler.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hans Byyler dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Genaddu Chakovshiy's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Byyler bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Byyler has managed to clinch.
Byyler working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Byyler lands with a light punch inside.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Byyler takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Byyler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Byyler breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Byyler scores with a head kick. Chakovshiy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Byyler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chakovshiy is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Byyler wants to stand but Chakovshiy is controlling the position.
Chakovshiy postures up in Byyler's guard and throws a big left but Byyler blocks it.
Byyler wants to control but Chakovshiy passes easily into half guard.
Chakovshiy trying to control from half guard but Byyler is working away.

Chakovshiy in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Byyler tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Chakovshiy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Genaddu Chakovshiy!
