The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cordoza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cordoza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cordoza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cordoza seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sensintaffar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cordoza throws a right hand that Sensintaffar ducks under and follows up with a left that Sensintaffar also avoids with ease.

Cordoza shoots in for a double leg but Sensintaffar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cordoza throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cordoza is taking a breather. Sensintaffar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cordoza seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sensintaffar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
