Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Julian Gniewek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nameless Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fighter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gniewek checks it well.
Fighter wants to land a leg kick but Gniewek is out of range.
Fighter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gniewek is able to avoid easily.
Fighter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gniewek was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fighter tried to score with a low kick but Gniewek checks it.
A big right from Gniewek misses.
No joy there for Fighter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gniewek rushes Fighter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gniewek is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Fighter's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gniewek is struggling to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fighter throws a nice looking combination but Gniewek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fighter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Gniewek takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fighter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fighter swats away the attempt to clinch by Gniewek.
Gniewek avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fighter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gniewek has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fighter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fighter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gniewek circles away quickly and effectively.
Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gniewek.
Gniewek thinks about countering with a body kick.

Fighter misses with a few strikes there.
Gniewek throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fighter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fighter.

Fighter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gniewek circles away quickly and effectively.

Gniewek moves into range and clinches up with Fighter.
Fighter is trying to break free.

Gniewek jumps guard.
Fighter is looking to stand up but Gniewek won't let him.

Gniewek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fighter defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gniewek is trying to keep Fighter in close.
Gniewek is really struggling to control Fighter but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Gniewek looking for a guillotine here but Fighter defends easily.

Gniewek looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gniewek seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Gniewek is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fighter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gniewek's guard.
Fighter won't allow Gniewek to sweep him here.
Gniewek controls Fighter momentarily but Fighter frees himself.

Fighter is sitting in close to Gniewek's body. Gniewek has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Fighter is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Fighter is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gniewek.
