Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shamus McGillicuddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lukas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGillicuddy comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Shadow featuring Run The Jewels - Nobody Speak. Lukas has chosen I am Glorious as his entrance music. Luke Lukas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukas throws a series of punches but McGillicuddy avoids them all with ease.
McGillicuddy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lukas! But no joy.
McGillicuddy lands a head shot.
Lukas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McGillicuddy misses with a lunging right hand
letting Lukas counter with a right hand.
McGillicuddy throws a hook but Lukas blocks it.
A countering left hand to the body from Lukas misses.
McGillicuddy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Luke Lukas has been cut.
McGillicuddy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lukas under the eye.

McGillicuddy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lukas.
A little jabbing left from Lukas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lukas's coach down at School of Hard Knocks was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lukas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Lukas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGillicuddy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McGillicuddy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

McGillicuddy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Luke Lukas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lukas has hold of McGillicuddy's hands but McGillicuddy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Well McGillicuddy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
