Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt's corner calls for a 1-2. Hunt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hunt throws a right hand that misses
and Lee counters with an inside leg kick.
The fighters circling - Hunt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lee appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hunt.
Lee throws a quick inside leg kick.
That kick from Lee tenderised Hunt's leg. Hunt is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lee counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hunt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A good leg kick by Lee.
Hunt misses with a jab to the body
and Lee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Luis Hunt has been cut.
A lazy left from Lee finds it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunt misses with a left hand
and Lee counters with a thumping low kick.
Hunt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lee.
Lee cracks Hunt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lee has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hunt to stand back up!
Hunt is rocked!
Hunt misses with a left hand
and Lee counters with a low kick, right behind Hunt 's knee.
Lee chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee defending well as Hunt loads up on a big left hand.
A little jabbing left from Lee on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lee moves into range and connects with a jab.
Luis Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt misses with a hook.
Hunt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hunt misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lee counters with a big left hand that crumples Hunt! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
