Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lex Luthor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luthor comes to the cage accompanied by Money. Gein is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Puritania. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luthor had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gein is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Luthor Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gein's back instead.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gein connects with a nice short shot to Luthor's temple.

Gein fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Luthor sprawls well initially but Gein persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Luthor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gein prevents Luthor from improving his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Lex Luthor will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
