Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nova Zigaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vien Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zigaman comes to the cage accompanied by Cameo - Word Up!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vien Chi!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zigaman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Chi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zigaman on the side of the head.
Chi misses with the body kick

and Zigaman counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Chi!
Chi taking punishment in the form of punches.
Zigaman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Chi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Zigaman connects with a decent elbow.
Zigaman advances to full mount.
Zigaman lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Vien Chi has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chi is rocked!
Zigaman loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Chi scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Zigaman land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Zigaman stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nova Zigaman!
In his post fight interview, Nova Zigaman gave a big smile as he said 'Yo' listen Chi... get yourself another job and don't ever think you can compete with the freakzilla again. Whilst you're there, send you wife my way and I'll show her just how bombastic the zig-man is. Word up.'.
Vien Chi spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back'.
