Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedersen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mcdowell kicks off Pedersen and gets to his feet.
Mcdowell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pedersen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Pedersen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcdowell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcdowell controls Pedersen momentarily but Pedersen frees himself.

Pedersen wanted to stand there but Mcdowell had control of the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcdowell prevents Pedersen from moving into mount.
Pedersen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcdowell keeps working.
Mcdowell tries to escape but Pedersen is in control.

Pedersen get's back to his feet.
Pedersen takes a swing at Mcdowell's ribcage but misses.
Pedersen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mcdowell dives in for a single leg takedown but Pedersen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
