PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bart Olson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Buckeye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DJ Buckeye told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Olson falls off balance throwing a combination

and Buckeye counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Buckeye postures up.
Olson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buckeye controls the pace.
Olson is striking off his back. Buckeye thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Olson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buckeye has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
