Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chief Black Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black Fox comes to the cage accompanied by Cherokee War Dance. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gauthier throws a head kick but Black Fox moves out of range.

and Gauthier counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by Black Fox or perhaps it was just good defense by Gauthier, which made it look bad.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gauthier's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gauthier's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Black Fox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black Fox seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Gauthier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Black Fox avoids it really well and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gauthier has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Black Fox is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gauthier yanks on the arm and Black Fox is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gauthier.
