Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson D Amato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Bondurant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forrest Bondurant is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson D Amato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Forrest Bondurant!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

D Amato feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
D Amato won't allow Bondurant to get back to his feet.
Bondurant pulls D Amato in to control the position.
D Amato looking to sit in guard and control but Bondurant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


D Amato working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bondurant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bondurant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bondurant wants to get up but he can't break D Amato's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bondurant lands a big head kick that sends D Amato tumbling to the mat! Bondurant takes a step backwards and waves D Amato back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Tyson D Amato has been cut.
No joy there for Bondurant, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
D Amato throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bondurant tries to close the distance and clinch but D Amato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
D Amato feinted with a counter takedown.

Bondurant clinches with his opponent.

Bondurant breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bondurant throws a hook to the side of D Amato's head but D Amato sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bondurant takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

D Amato tries to stall but Bondurant uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

D Amato pulls Bondurant into guard.
Bondurant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bondurant is pushing down on D Amato's leg trying to pass to half guard. D Amato is fighting to maintain full guard but Bondurant has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bondurant is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bondurant throws a head kick that misses.
A jab lands there for Bondurant.

Bondurant feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends D Amato sprawling to the canvas! D Amato rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bondurant finish him?!
Oh D Amato is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
D Amato throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

D Amato tries to keep at a distance but Bondurant has taken the fight into the clinch.
D Amato seems to have got his legs back now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
D Amato tries to work over Bondurant's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bondurant breaks the clinch.
D Amato cracks a nice hook into Bondurant's ribs.

D Amato looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
D Amato is stalling here. Bondurant is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! D Amato seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bondurant has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bondurant advances nicely into full mount.
Forrest Bondurant has got the better of the ground game so far.

D Amato is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bondurant's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Bondurant avoids the attempt from D Amato to control.
Bondurant tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bondurant is looking to stand but D Amato has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Forrest Bondurant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bondurant looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Bondurant wants to get back to his feet.
Bondurant has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

D Amato is trying to control but can't.

Bondurant takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
D Amato tries to roll over but Bondurant keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bondurant frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
D Amato bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

D Amato seems a little lost for a moment, as Bondurant dominates the positioning.
D Amato is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bondurant is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Bondurant avoids the attempt from D Amato to control.
D Amato sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Well, if Bondurant is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
D Amato wants to improve his position but Bondurant is controlling well.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bondurant seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Forrest Bondurant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bondurant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
