The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corrales feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Johnss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Corrales stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Corrales steps into range and cracks Johns with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Johns flops backwards and Corrales dives into his guard looking to finish!

Johns is rocked!

It looks like Jimmy Johns has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corrales wants to stand and escape but instead Johns has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
