Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Slader!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses with a hook. Slader ducked under it nicely.
Randy Slader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slader defending well as Anderson loads up on a big left hand.
Jab by Anderson.
Anderson moves out of range as Slader strikes.
Slader displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Anderson throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Slader! But no joy.
Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Slader tries to land a front kick but Anderson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Slader just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson throws a front kick aimed at Slader's knee but Slader avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bone on bone clash there as Anderson blocks the leg kick.
Slader throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Slader looks for the body kick but Anderson saw that one coming.
Slader throws a nice outside leg kick.

and Anderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Anderson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Anderson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Slader on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Slader. That's going to slow Anderson down.
Anderson misses with a hook
and Slader connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Slader has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Slader there as he acknowledges the shot.

Anderson tries to keep at a distance but Slader has taken the fight into the clinch.

Slader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Anderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slader manages to avoid it.
Slader avoids the body shot from Anderson.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slader throws the kick towards the body but Anderson avoids it.
Good exchange - Anderson coming out on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slader takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Slader goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Slader is looking to land body kicks.
It looked like Anderson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Slader gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anderson.

Anderson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Slader. That one must have hurt.
Anderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Slader was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Slader is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Anderson moves out of range as Slader strikes.

Slader fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Anderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Anderson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Anderson ducks under a wild hook from Slader.
An attempted straight right counter from Anderson misses the target.
Anderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Slader takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson blocks a jab.
Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slader.
Anderson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Anderson avoids the body shot from Slader.
Anderson throws a hook but Slader avoids it easily.

Slader throws a solid leg kick but Anderson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Slader.
Anderson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Slader misses with an uppercut.
Anderson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Anderson tries to land a leg kick but Slader saw it coming and moves away.
Slader is looking to chop away at Anderson's legs.
Slader throws a chopping leg kick but Anderson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Slader shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson fires out a quick counter leg kick but Slader just manages to avoid it.
Slader keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A swing and a miss from Anderson.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A little feinted left hand from Anderson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Anderson throws a jab when Slader was well out of range.
Anderson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slader. Slader obviously looking to wear him down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brownie Anderson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Anderson counters with a nice right hand that sends Slader toppling to the canvas! Slader scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Anderson finish him?!
Slader is still on wobbly legs! Can Anderson finish him?


It looks like Randy Slader has been cut.
Anderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson throws an overhand right that drops Slader like a sack of potatoes! Anderson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brownie Anderson!
