Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shaun Schwartz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bear Siberian!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwartz shoots for a takedown but Siberian saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Schwartz backing away here, and Siberian unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Schwartz moves into the clinch.

Schwartz has clasped his hands together around Siberian's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Siberian wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Siberian wants to control but Schwartz postures up.
Siberian is trying to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schwartz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Siberian looking for a sweep but Schwartz has passed into full mount! Oh no!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Schwartz swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Siberian is now in Schwartz's guard. A big mistake from Schwartz there, giving up the dominant position!
Schwartz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Siberian's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schwartz wants to sweep here but Siberian controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Siberian trying to control but Schwartz is working from the bottom.
Siberian's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Siberian trying to stand up but can't free himself from Schwartz's guard.
Schwartz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Siberian is one step ahead there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schwartz is on top in guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.

Schwartz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Siberian manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Schwartz has Siberian in his guard.

Schwartz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Schwartz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Siberian wants to pass the guard but Schwartz is keeping the position.
Siberian won't allow Schwartz to sweep him here.
Siberian slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A low kick from Siberian is predictable there

and Schwartz counters with a shoot takedown. Siberian fights it but they end up in guard.

Siberian has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Schwartz has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shaun Schwartz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Siberian swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Schwartz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Schwartz shoots for a double leg takedown but Siberian sprawls well. He's pushed Schwartz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Schwartz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Siberian.


It looks like Shaun Schwartz has been cut.
Siberian pounces like a tiger and cracks Schwartz with a vicious hook! Schwartz is down but not out! Siberian follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bear Siberian!
Bear Siberian seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
