Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mo Fool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinton Jackson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mo Fool's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mo Fool!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Fool ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses.
Fool scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Quinton Jackson has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Jackson.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fool dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Fool throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fool tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fool.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fool could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fool looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Fool misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Jackson stands up out of the half guard.
Fool lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fool circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Fool backpedaling.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fool to the mat! Fool manages to get full guard.

Fool is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Jackson tries to stand but Fool is controlling from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Jackson stands and steps away. Fool gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fool checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Fool is looking to clinch.
Fool misses with a takedown
and Jackson counters with a nice body shot.

Jackson throws a right and a left that Fool avoids nicely.

Fool closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Fool wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fool is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson tries to kick Fool off but Fool keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Fool is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fool landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jackson is trying to stand up here but Fool is controlling him well.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fool. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson kicks off Fool and gets to his feet.

and Jackson counters with a one-two to the body.

Jackson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fool plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jackson wants to clinch up but Fool keeps it at a distance.
Fool with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fool as he jumps to the side.
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jackson thuds his right hand into Fool's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Fool in a clinch.

Fool pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fool throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jackson scores a takedown into full mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fool is looking to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mo Fool will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fool tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fool's head.
Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fool looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mo Fool overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Fool manages to pass to side control.

Fool tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fool won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet.

Fool postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fool, into his guard.
Fool lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!

Fool is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jackson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fool looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Fool didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fool looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jackson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Fool lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fool.

Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fool is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Fool's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
