PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Madrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, James Madrox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrei Fedor!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madrox throws a push kick but Fedor slaps the foot to one side.
Fedor swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Madrox.
Madrox doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fedor counters with a nice uppercut.
Madrox shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fedor but Fedor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Madrox blocks a jab.
Madrox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Madrox closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fedor tries to circle away but Madrox has him pinned against the cage.
Fedor scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Fedor throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Madroxs head.
Fedor lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Madrox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fedor works the jab nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Madrox doesn't manage to clinch there - Fedor circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fedor! But no joy.
Fedor scores with a sloppy right hand. Madrox should have avoided that one.
Fedor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Madrox back to the cage. Fedor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Madrox darts in looking for a takedown but Fedor gets double underhooks and turns Madrox into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Madrox. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Madrox fails to land the takedown.
Fedor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Madrox circles away quickly and effectively.
Fedor feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Madrox crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
