PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niel Cenabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Reacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Reacher told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Reacher!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cenabre slaps away a takedown attempt from Reacher, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cenabre lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cenabre throws a sloppy head kick and Reacher moves out of range easily.

Cenabre rushes Reacher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Reacher managing to block the knees to the body from Cenabre.
Cenabre is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Reacher tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cenabre lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Jack Reacher has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cenabre tries to land knees in the clinch but Reacher avoids the damage to the body.
Cenabre lands a nice elbow.
Cenabre lands an elbow that stopped Reacher in his tracks for a moment.
Cenabre's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Reacher takes a knee to the side of the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Reacher - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Cenabre creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Reacher's defenses.

Cenabre drops Reacher with a big knee straight up the middle! Reacher is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Reacher is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cenabre lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Reacher is still on wobbly legs! Can Cenabre finish him?
Cenabre moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cenabre looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Reacher gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
