Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olaf Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyd lands a high kick to the side of Frost's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Boyd dives into guard, looking to finish.
Frost looking for a sweep. Not yet Frost, not yet.
Boyd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Boyd tries to free his leg and advance position but Frost is retaining full guard.
Boyd wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Frost haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Boyd throws a strike but Frost rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Boyd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Frost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Frost is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boyd tries to get to full guard but Frost has control of the leg.
Frost is keen to just control but Boyd is a slippery customer.

Boyd fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Frost is out of range.

Frost misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slow jab from Boyd misses its intended target.
Boyd shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Boyd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boyd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Frost explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Boyd pivots, looking for a leg kick but Frost is out of range and Boyd settles back down.
Boyd throws a hook to the side of Frost's head but Frost sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Olaf Frost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boyd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frost moves away.
A counter left hand to the body from Frost misses its target.

Sammy Boyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyd misses with a jab to the body
letting Frost counter with a right hand.
Boyd scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Frost doesn't seem bothered though.

Frost swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Frost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Frost connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boyd throws a wild body kick that Frost sees coming a mile off.
Boyd misses with an uppercut.
Boyd has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Frost finds it's way round the side to connect with Boyd's head.
A bone on bone clash there as Frost blocks the leg kick.
Frost lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

A clash of legs there as Frost blocks the low kick.
Boyd looks to throw the jab but Frost is out of range.

Boyd works the jab nicely.
Sammy Boyd seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Frost rushes Boyd with punches - Boyd moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Boyd goes down! Frost follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

After the fight, Olaf Frost was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
