Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtly Ambrose!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott tries a head kick but it misses.

Abbott on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

and Abbott counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Abbott wants to slow Ambrose down by chopping away at his legs.
Despite the aggression on Ambrose's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ambrose throws out a leg kick but Abbott moves out of range and Ambrose only half commits.

Ambrose throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ambrose creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ambrose, as that shot connected.

Abbott's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ambrose connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Abbott scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Ambrose in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Ambrose looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brenden Abbott.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Abbott, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
