Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linwood Purcell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody McKenzie has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McKenzie misses with a straight right.
McKenzie swings for the body but Purcell moves out of range.
McKenzie's corner calls for a 1-2. McKenzie obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McKenzie jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McKenzie missing with a left hand there. Purcell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Purcell tries to counter with a takedown but McKenzie is quick to defend against it.
Purcell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McKenzie finds it's way round the side to connect with Purcell's head.
Purcell shoots in looking for a takedown but McKenzie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Purcell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McKenzie scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McKenzie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKenzie tries to clinch there but Purcell circles away.
McKenzie scores with a decent looking hook.
Purcell on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
McKenzie stuns Purcell with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McKenzie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McKenzie bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Purcell's head.
McKenzie misses with a wild body shot.
Purcell drops down looking for a counter takedown but McKenzie sprawls and moves away.
McKenzie tests Purcell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McKenzie misses with a series of wild punches.
McKenzie throws a lazy right hand but Purcell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Purcell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McKenzie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Purcell is working away from the top position though.

Purcell seems to be looking for submissions.

Purcell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Purcell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Purcell is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Purcell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McKenzie defends it well.

Purcell wants to take a breather but McKenzie is having none of it.

McKenzie keeps control of the position for the meantime.

McKenzie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McKenzie misses with a straight right.
McKenzie thows a left - swing and a miss!
Purcell feinted with a counter takedown.
McKenzie lands a nice hook to Purcell's body. Purcell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Purcell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Purcell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Purcell is trying hard to land a takedown here. McKenzie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McKenzie lands an overhand right.
Purcell swats away the attempt to clinch by McKenzie.

Purcell tries to move into range but McKenzie moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Purcell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McKenzie throws out the jab.
Purcell tries to counter by clinching up but McKenzie breaks away and moves out of range.
Purcell moves forwards but McKenzie connects with a nice, crisp jab.
McKenzie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Purcell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McKenzie counters with a left to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Linwood Purcell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McKenzie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cody McKenzie seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Purcell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

McKenzie throws a body shot but no joy.
Purcell ducks under a wild hook from McKenzie.
Nice takedown defense from McKenzie. No joy for Purcell on that attempt.
Purcell sets himself, and McKenzie steps forward looking for the clinch! Purcell avoids it this time.
Purcell takes one to the chin there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKenzie clobbers Purcell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
McKenzie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cody McKenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Purcell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McKenzie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Purcell takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Purcell is rocked!
McKenzie fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Purcell to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Purcell looks to clinch but McKenzie throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Purcell taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
