The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sotin keeps Joy at a distance using the push kick.

Joy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Joy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sotin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Waylon Joy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sotin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Sotin lands a left and a right that sends Joy crashing to the canvas! Sotin dives into mount looking to finish!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Joy tries to buck Sotin off but he can't manage it.
Sotin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
