The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Masters pinned against the cage. Masters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stephens throws a series of punches but Masters avoids them all with ease.
Stephens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Masters defends it nicely.
Stephens falls off balance throwing a combination

and Masters counters by clinching up.
Masters lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Danny Stephens has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Masters scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
A lull in the action here as Masters stalls from top position.

Stephens tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Masters presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Masters fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Masters breaks from Stephens's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Stephens takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Masters lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Masters lands a couple of good shots and Stephens has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masters connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Stephens to escape the position.

Masters drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Stephens is in real trouble here! Masters lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Masters is delighted!
