PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elmer Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Enzo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sharp, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva takes a knee right on the jaw!
A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sharp creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Sharp gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.

Silva manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Sharp turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sharp manages to end up in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sharp is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to lock up and control but Sharp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sharp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Sharp is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Silva is in a horrible position here. Sharp smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sharp looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Sharp cracks Silva with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Silva wants to hold on but Sharp pushes him away.

Sharp postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sharp connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sharp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sharp defends it well.

Sharp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sharp keeps working.
Sharp pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.

Sharp makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sharp manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Silva manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
