The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lainey misses with the combination.
Atkinson moves out of range as Lainey strikes.
A big left from Lainey misses.
Lainey throws a looping overhand right but Atkinson ducks down to avoid it.
Lainey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Atkinson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lainey scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lainey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Atkinson circles away quickly and effectively.
Atkinson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Lainey is rocked!

It looks like Eddie Lainey has been cut.
Atkinson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lainey loads up on a big right hand but Atkinson slips the punch.
Lainey throws a lazy uppercut
and Atkinson counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Lainey badly! Atkinson follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Lainey out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Atkinson finished him against the cage.
