Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mackey Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malik has chosen Stronger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mackey Shain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammad Malik!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain tries to bum rush Malik with a series of wild strikes but Malik uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shain gets the takedown into side control.
Malik is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Malik is pressing down on Shain's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Malik has his hands on Shain's head, controlling the position.
Malik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Shain drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Malik manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shain has Malik in his guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Malik passes Shain's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Malik prevents Shain from improving his position.
Malik looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shain actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Malik wants to take a breather but Shain is having none of it.
Shain wants to control but Malik is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Shain flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Malik blocks the strikes from Shain.
Shain looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Shain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Malik shoots in and bounces Shain off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Malik trying to control the position from guard on top but Shain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Malik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Malik is posturing up here but Shain has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Malik tries to roll out but it's too tight and Malik has to tap! Slick submission there by Shain!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mackey Shain!
