The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor moves to clinch but Jackson breaks away
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McGregor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

McGregor takes the fight into the clinch.
McGregor scores with a nice hook to the head.
Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McGregor has him pressed against the cage.
McGregor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
McGregor lands with a left to the head.
McGregor scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Mike Jackson has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGregor connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jackson's face.
I was talking to McGregor's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
McGregor tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

McGregor lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Jackson is trying to push McGregor away but McGregor has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Jackson has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. McGregor seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Jackson can turn it around.

McGregor creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jackson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jackson drops to his knees and McGregor pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
