Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
35 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mr Charcoal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocco Falcone!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone throws a lazy body kick
and Charcoal counters with a series of strikes. Falcone will be more careful next time no doubt.
Falcone throws a push kick but Charcoal slaps the foot to one side.
Charcoal tries to counter with a takedown but Falcone is quick to defend against it.
Falcone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Charcoal tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Falcone is in Charcoal's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Falcone is in close to Charcoal's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Charcoal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A decent looking cross lands there for Falcone.

Rocco Falcone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Charcoal takes one to the side of the head.
Falcone jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Charcoal slips a straight right by Falcone.
Oh Charcoal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Charcoal seems to have got his legs back now.
Charcoal takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Falcone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Falcone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Charcoal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Falcone lands with a hook. Charcoal tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looked like Charcoal was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Falcone.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Charcoal counters with a good, hard body kick but Falcone shrugs it off.

Charcoal quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Charcoal closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Falcone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Falcone connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Charcoal momentarily.

Charcoal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Falcone scores with a sloppy right hand. Charcoal should have avoided that one.

As Falcone backs away, Charcoal returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Falcone has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Charcoal is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Falcone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Charcoal walks away with a smile on his face. Falcone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Falcone lands a nice hook to Charcoal's body. Charcoal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Rocco Falcone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Charcoal walks straight into a right hand from Falcone - that's dropped him! Falcone jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Charcoal from any more punishment! Charcoal complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A very excited looking Rocco Falcone made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
