Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Austin Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lae Praye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Praye has chosen Dragula as his entrance music. Lae Praye is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Austin Justice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lae Praye!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Praye.
Justice shoots in but Praye avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Justice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Praye wants to stand and escape but Justice is having none of it.
Praye has momentary wrist control but Justice slips an elbow through the middle.

Justice thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Praye gets caught flat footed, as Justice shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Praye has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Justice is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Praye.
Praye pushes Justice away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Justice gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Praye really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Justice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Praye wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Justice is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Praye knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Justice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Praye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Justice moves away.
Praye feints and then cracks Justice's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Justice down.

Justice fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Praye is out of range.
Justice is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Justice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Praye was well out of range. Poor timing from Justice.
Praye fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Justice shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Justice throws and elbow that misses. Praye uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Justice's guard. Nice move by Praye!

Praye stands and steps away. Justice gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lae Praye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Praye looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Justice is fending him off so far but Praye persists. Nope, Justice circles away and we're back to standing.

Praye tries for a takedown but Justice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Praye gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Justice is in close to Praye's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Praye keeping full guard, as Justice tries to pass.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Austin Justice will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Praye decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Justice's guard.
Justice keeping moving, preventing Praye from controlling successfully.

Justice is looking for a triangle but Praye pushes his legs off easily.

Justice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Praye doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Praye manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Praye wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Justice's closed guard. He's half up but Justice has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Justice pivots and extends the arm, Praye falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Justice! Well done that man!
