Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Bixby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henri Lafitte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lafitte has chosen Concrete Blondes - Bloodletting as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buzz Bixby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henri Lafitte!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bixby misses with a wild body shot.
Lafitte tries a head kick but it misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lafitte.
Lafitte misses with a hook
and Bixby counters with a nice uppercut.
Bixby jabs Lafitte to the body, keeping him at a distance.

so Bixby counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lafitte is pulling down on Bixby's head to control his posture.
Bixby lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bixby drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lafitte looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lafitte looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lafitte!
Bixby manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bixby is trying to control Lafitte's posture but Lafitte avoids it.

That's time! Bixby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lafitte throws a chopping leg kick but Bixby manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Bixby was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lafitte drops his hands momentarily and Bixby takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bixby swings for the body but Lafitte moves out of range.
Lafitte throws a body shot but no joy.
Lafitte moves into the clinch successfully.
Lafitte goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lafitte misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bixby will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lafitte up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lafitte tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lafitte's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That kick from Lafitte tenderised Bixby's leg. Bixby is trying to keep his angry face on.

Lafitte throws a hook but Bixby avoids it easily.
Bixby is looking to wear down Lafitte with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A nice combination there by Bixby.
Lafitte lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lafitte ducks under a wild hook from Bixby.
Bixby sets himself, and Lafitte steps forward looking for the clinch! Bixby avoids it this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lafitte takes a jab right on the kisser.

Bixby uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lafitte.
Lafitte uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bixby.
Bixby takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lafitte swings for the body but Bixby moves out of range.

Bixby is stalking Lafitte. Lafitte circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Bixby, and it's lights out! Lafitte really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
