Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jonas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blanket Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Bad as his entrance music. Blanket Jackson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jonas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blanket Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson has Jonas up against the cage in a clinch.

Jonas pulls guard.

Jonas is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jonas manages to break the clinch.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jonas won't be happy with that.
Jonas can't do much from the bottom here.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Jonas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jonas tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it.

A bit of a lull in the action here.

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jonas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson swings around for an armbar but Jonas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jackson's guard.

Jonas distracts Jackson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jackson looking for a guillotine here but Jonas defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jonas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A low kick from Jonas misses

and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jonas digs a right hand into Jackson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jackson's gas tank.
Jonas lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.

Jonas is trying to trip Jackson. He has hold of a leg but Jackson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jonas persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jonas's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jonas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jackson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jonas uses it to pass to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jonas decides to stand back up.
Jonas lands a nice looking body shot.

Jonas clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.

Jonas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jonas doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jonas tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Jonas turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.

Jonas stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Jonas.

Jonas darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jonas walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jonas lands a head kick!
Jonas tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Jonas, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Jonas against the cage but Jonas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jonas tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jonas dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jonas darts in trying to clinch

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Jonas didn't expect that.
Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jonas is keeping the position for now.

Jonas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Jonas is keeping the position.
Jon Jonas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jackson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jackson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jonas screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jackson! Nice submission victory there!
