Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Omalley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Bush!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Omalley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bush can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bush is trying to stand back up but Omalley is controlling him
Bush has hold of Omalley's hands but Omalley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bush is trying to control but can't.
Omalley is looking to take a break and control but Bush is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Omalley thows a huge punch but Bush dodges it nicely.
We've been hearing that Omalley has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Omalley prevents Bush from standing back up.
Omalley trying to control the action but Bush is working from the bottom.

Omalley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bush wants to control but Omalley is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Omalley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bush doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Omalley.
Omalley is looking to stall here but Bush recovers full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bush throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Omalley throws a big right hand that misses.
Omalley trying to control the position from guard on top but Bush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Omalley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bush tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Omalley is in Bush's guard.

Bush pushes Omalley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Omalley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bush manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bush is on top in guard.

Bush slips nicely into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bush slips a nice elbow through Omalley's hands, connecting with Omalley's forehead.
Bush is nestled in close to Omalley, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bush landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bush sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Omalley defending well though.
Bush winds up and cracks Omalley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bush throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bush is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Omalley!
Bush has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bush lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


It looks like John Omalley has been cut.
Omalley is breathing heavily.

Bush is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Omalley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Omalley shrugs it off.
Bush working away from the top, dropping strikes.

The referee warns Omalley that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

John Omalley's cut is getting worse.
Bush with a couple of short strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bush breaks from Omalley's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Jeez, John Omalley's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Omalley's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). George Bush!
Jumping up and down and very excited, George Bush waved his t-shirt featuring Juggernaut And Gladiators's logo in front of the cameras.
