The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ludwig moves away from the strike by Jones .
Ludwig throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ludwig fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Ludwig.
A low kick from Ludwig misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones throws a hook but Ludwig avoids it easily.
Jones tries to clinch there but Ludwig circles away.
Ludwig fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Colt Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a body shot but no joy.
Ludwig changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones tries to bum rush Ludwig with a series of wild strikes but Ludwig uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Ludwig moved out of range nicely.

Jones might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Ludwig has a takedown stuffed.
Ludwig is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones .

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones is trying to stand.
Jones scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ludwig manages to mount him!

A close round but Colt Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ludwig manages to avoid it.

Jones throws a jab when Ludwig was well out of range.
Jones works over Ludwig's head and body with a nice combination.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Ludwig saw that one coming.
Ludwig tries to counter with a takedown but Jones is quick to defend against it.
Ludwig throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range.

Jones throws a hook to the side of Ludwig's head but Ludwig sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ludwig lands a nice looking body kick.

Ludwig tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way.
Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oh Ludwig is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Ludwig to the canvas! Ludwig doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Jones keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
