The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Florenzi tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Florenzi is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
Florenzi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Florenzi defends it well.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Florenzi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Florenzi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Florenzi!

Gracie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Florenzi throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Florenzi's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
