PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Zat Sebastos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Zat Sebastos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zat Sebastos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Zat Sebastos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Burgundy!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sebastos misses with a head kick.
Burgundy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Burgundy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sebastos dodges the punch combination from Burgundy.
Burgundy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sebastos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Burgundy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burgundy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sebastos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Burgundy looks to move away, Sebastos throws a big counter combo but Burgundy just gets out of the way.
Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burgundy misses with the combination.
Burgundy throws a hook but Sebastos blocks it.

Sebastos lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Burgundy goes down! The ref sends Sebastos to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Burgundy is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!

Burgundy is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burgundy throws a combination that misses
and Sebastos counters with a big uppercut that nearly lifts Burgundy off his feet! Burgundy crashes to the mat in all kinds of trouble! The referee starts the count but I'm not sure it's necessary - Burgundy isn't going to make it! The count reaches 10 and this fight is all over! Sebastos screams and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmmm spit, everywhere. Lovely.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Zat Sebastos!
During a confident post fight interview, Zat Sebastos thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
