Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manol Josifov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lew Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Josifov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bone Thugs N Harmony - Foe Tha Love of Money. Rockwell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Like a Rock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lew Rockwell!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Josifov throws a sloppy head kick and Rockwell moves out of range easily.
Rockwell doesn't manage to clinch there - Josifov circles away.
Rockwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Josifov's waist but Josifov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rockwell off to one side.
Rockwell blocks a head kick by Josifov.
Rockwell shoots in but Josifov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rockwell tried to score with a low kick but Josifov checks it.
Josifov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rockwell. Rockwell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Lew Rockwell has been cut.

Rockwell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Josifov sprawls well initially but Rockwell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rockwell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Josifov is just riding it out for now. Rockwell eventually gives up the hold.
Rockwell works his foot free and advances to mount.
Josifov has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Rockwell has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Josifov has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've been hearing good reports from Josifov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Josifov is trying to defend against the choke here but Rockwell has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Rockwell Tightens the hold and Josifov taps out furiously! Rockwell displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
