Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Odell Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Jerome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Jerome counters by clinching up.

Jerome is trying to trip Hayes. He has hold of a leg but Hayes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jerome persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hayes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jerome is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Hayes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jerome drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hayes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jerome has Hayes in his guard.

Hayes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jerome is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hayes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jerome working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hayes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hayes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jerome wants to sweep here but Hayes controlling him for the moment.

Hayes shoots in looking for a takedown but Jerome manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hayes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jerome drives through and clinches with Hayes against the cage.
Hayes is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hayes is trying to stall.

Jerome is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hayes can't fight it off and eventually Jerome manages to take the fight to the floor. Hayes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
