The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Stukov blocks the leg kick.
Wheat throws a head kick but Stukov moves out of range.
Wheat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wheat throws a head kick that misses.
Wheat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wheat throws a leg kick but Stukov moved away.
Stukov tries to close the distance and clinch but Wheat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sam Wheat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wheat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Wheat misses
and Stukov counters with a left and a right that stings Wheat.

Wheat throws a sloppy head kick and Stukov moves out of range easily.

Good leg kick by Wheat there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wheat motions for Stukov to come forward. Wheat throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Stukov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wheat as he jumps to the side.
Stukov fails to land with a series of punches.
Stukov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wheat chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wheat. Stukov shrugs it off though.
Stukov is breathing heavily.
Wheat lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wheat throws a lazy head kick
and Stukov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stukov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wheat. That one must have hurt.

Wheat lands a head kick that stumbles Stukov and the fighters go to the mat.

Stukov is rocked!
Wheat controls from within his opponent's guard.
Oh Stukov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stukov seems to have got his legs back now.

Wheat trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Wheat controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Wheat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stukov is keeping the position for now.
Wheat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stukov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wheat is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wheat stays in close to Stukov's body and controls the position.
Wheat wants to control from the top but Stukov keeps moving.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sam Wheat just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wheat tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wheat circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Stukov drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Wheat follows Stukov to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
