The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hayes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hayes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hayes has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Silva has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Hayes breaks the clinch.

Hayes fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Silva to the ground. Hayes is now in Silva 's guard.

Hayes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Hayes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hayes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Odell Hayes will probably get the nod.

Silva has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hayes is on him like a limpet, forcing Silva back against the cage.
