The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babineau looks to land a combination but Pugh avoids it well.

Babineau goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Pugh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Babineau leaves Pugh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pugh shoots in looking for a takedown but Babineau manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pugh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Babineau uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Babineau circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Pugh to the canvas! Pugh doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Babineau keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
