Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rich Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Segata Sanshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanshiro has chosen Sega Satan! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rich Silva had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Segata Sanshiro!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanshiro swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva.
Sanshiro moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Sanshiro, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Sanshiro against the cage but Sanshiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sanshiro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sanshiro blocks a head kick by Silva.
Sanshiro lands the left hand.
Sanshiro lands with a slapping head kick.
Sanshiro throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sanshiro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanshiro is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.

Silva stands up and beckons Sanshiro to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.
Sanshiro scores with a spinning back kick!
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanshiro tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanshiro to the ground. Sanshiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rich Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sanshiro jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.
Sanshiro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Silva on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sanshiro darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sanshiro cracks the inside of Silva's front leg.
Silva blocks a head kick by Sanshiro.
Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sanshiro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Sanshiro throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Sanshiro fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Sanshiro.
Sanshiro turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanshiro is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Silva had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Sanshiro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sanshiro lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sanshiro dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!
Sanshiro throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Sanshiro connects with a solid leg kick.
Sanshiro throws a head kick that half lands.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.
Sanshiro catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Silva is rocked!
Silva takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Silva will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Sanshiro throws a head kick that half lands.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sanshiro.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

A slapping body kick lands there for Sanshiro.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Silva looks for a takedown but Sanshiro sprawls well.
Sanshiro thumps Silva with a low kick.
Sanshiro pushes Silva away with a front kick.
Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Segata Sanshiro seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sanshiro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sanshiro can pounce on him.
Sanshiro lands a jab to Silva's midsection.
An inside leg kick lands from Sanshiro.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sanshiro feints and then cracks Silva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
Sanshiro lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A punch lands to the side of Silva 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Sanshiro circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Silva drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Sanshiro follows Silva to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
