Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akihito Yamato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jarrett Wendall!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Yamato. No joy for Wendall on that attempt.
Wendall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamato pinned against the cage. Yamato gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wendall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Yamato lands a jab to the head.
Yamato leaves Wendall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Akihito Yamato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarrett Wendall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamato changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Yamato cracks a nice hook into Wendall's ribs.
Yamato throws a shot to the body.
Wendall looks winded!

Yamato dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Yamato jabs Wendall to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jarrett Wendall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yamato lands a big uppercut and Wendall crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wendall looks OK. Yamato waves Wendall back to his feet!
Wendall misses with a takedown attempt
and Yamato counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wendall! Yamato lets Wendall back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Wendall is rocked!
Yamato is looking to wear down Wendall with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wendall switches off momentarily and Yamato cracks him with a monster right hand! Wendall topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Yamato dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Yamato!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Akihito Yamato!
