Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donald Chartier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chartier comes into the arena with Disturbed - Stricken blaring out of the sound system. Ward has chosen Spazz - Crush Kill Destroy as his entrance music. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Ward!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chartier thuds his right hand into Ward's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ward will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chartier throws a leg kick but Ward sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Chartier moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ward ducks under a wild hook from Chartier.
Ward misses with a takedown
and Chartier cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chartier with a nice cross.
Chartier looks to land a right hand but Ward moved out of range.
Ward tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chartier lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Max Ward has been cut.
Chartier throws a good cross that connects.
Ward fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Donald Chartier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Ward.

A jab from Chartier does it's job there.
Chartier cracks Ward with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Chartier is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Ward tries for a takedown but Chartier circles away easily
and Ward takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chartier cracks Ward with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Max Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ward shoots and misses
and Chartier counters with a straight right hand.
Nice straight punches there by Chartier. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chartier.
Ward is rocked!
Ward displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chartier throws out the jab.
Chartier lands a big uppercut and Ward crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ward looks OK. Chartier waves Ward back to his feet!
Ward is still on wobbly legs! Can Chartier finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ward is aggressively charging in as Chartier backs up avoiding any damage. Chartier tosses out a jab and Ward runs right into it face first! Ward is out cold! Chartier dropped down on all fours and is barking in Ward's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Donald Chartier!
