Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Watkins!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watkins takes a swing at Tyson's ribcage but misses.

Watkins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tyson's half guard.
Watkins trying to mount his opponent but Tyson defends it.
Tyson gets full guard.

Tyson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Watkins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyson's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Watkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Watkins blocks the strikes from Tyson.

Tyson pushes Watkins off looking to stand but Watkins dives back in and keeps control.
Watkins works his way into side control.
Watkins with the ground and pound but Tyson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Tyson is looking to control Watkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyson avoid being mounted?
Watkins is looking to advance position but Tyson won't allow it.

Watkins stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Tyson tries to clinch up but Watkins circles away and keeps his distance.

Watkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyson is fending him off so far but Watkins persists. Nope, Tyson circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyson is defended easily by Watkins.

Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Watkins bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Watkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyson sprawls well. He's pushed Watkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Watkins dives in and grabs Tyson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes down on Watkins's head and hops out.
Tyson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Watkins appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Watkins closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Watkins pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Watkins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tyson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Watkins is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tyson to keep the fight standing.
Watkins tries to stall but Tyson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Watkins misses with a few strikes there.
Tyson misses with a takedown attempt - Watkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tyson dives in for a single leg takedown but Watkins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Watkins throws a head kick that Tyson semi-blocks.


It looks like Robin Tyson has been cut.
Tyson moves in looking to clinch but Watkins pushes him off.

Watkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyson. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet.
Ian Watkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Watkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Watkins stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Watkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tyson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tyson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Watkins gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nice body punch from Watkins - that landed with a thud.

Tyson has Watkins pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tyson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Watkins tumbling to the mat - Tyson dives into Watkins's guard.
Tyson wanted to stand there but Watkins had control of the position.

Watkins has his feet on Tyson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Watkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tyson. That did some damage!
Watkins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tyson defends it nicely.

Tyson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Watkins escapes and throws Tyson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Watkins decides to stand back up. Watkins steps back and let's Tyson get back to his feet.

and Tyson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Watkins pushes Tyson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Watkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyson is fending him off so far but Watkins persists. Nope, Tyson circles away and we're back to standing.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tyson enables Watkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tyson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's time! Tyson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Watkins uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Watkins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Watkins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Watkins shoots in but no luck this time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robin Tyson.
Well Watkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
