Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Booker Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Gundersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ragnar Gundersson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Booker Preston's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Booker Preston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ragnar Gundersson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Preston shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Preston was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gundersson is looking to reverse the position.

Preston is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gundersson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Preston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gundersson tries to control but Preston manages to take his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Preston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gundersson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Preston's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Booker Preston will probably get the nod.

Gundersson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Preston is trying to defend but Gundersson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Preston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Preston is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gundersson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Preston to the mat. Preston regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gundersson is pushing down on Preston's leg trying to pass to half guard. Preston is fighting to maintain full guard but Gundersson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Preston is refusing to be controlled, as Gundersson sits in half guard.

Gundersson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I think Gundersson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
