Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mr Ward and Gaia Ky Jr. Mr Ward has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Gaia Ky Jr!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

and Ward decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ky Jr's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Ward's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Ward is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ky Jr is just riding it out for now. Ward eventually gives up the hold.

Ward takes the fight on points by 10 to 5.
Mr Ward decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Gaia Ky Jr stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back stronger, I'm humble in defeat.'.
