The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mark throws a head kick that misses.
Mark lands a high kick!

It looks like Roy Brown has been cut.
Brown has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mark misses with a kick to the body.
Mark takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Mark connects with a high kick.
Mark lands a head kick!

Roy Brown's cut is getting worse.

Marky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Oooh a lovely combination from Mark sends Brown down but not out. Mark dives into side control looking to finish.

Brown tries to get to full guard but Mark has control of the leg.
Brown misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mark is pressing down on Brown's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brown is holding on for now.
Brown tries to get to full guard but Mark has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Mark sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mark has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brown is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mark.

Mark is trying desperately to improve position.

Brown is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mark is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mark flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Brown anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mark and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Brown slips an arm under Mark chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Brown has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Brown is squeezing on Mark like an anaconda would it's prey. Mark fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
