Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Gerard Placebo and Gary Bishoff. Placebo's entrance music is Placebo - Battle For The Sun. A fine choice. Bishoff has chosen Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Gerard Placebo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Gary Bishoff!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Bishoff gets a clinch.
Placebo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bishoff pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Placebo wants to take the fight to the mat but Bishoff manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Bishoff jumps guard and drags Placebo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bishoff has his foot on Placebo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Placebo works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bishoff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bishoff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bishoff is taking a breather. Placebo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
