The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Pacheco shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pacheco showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King Jr actively working from the bottom here.
King Jr felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Pacheco's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like Pacheco is going to stand back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from King Jr enables Pacheco to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. King Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Jr is fighting to break Pacheco's control of his arms but Pacheco is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

King Jr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pacheco is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pacheco has escaped and now he's on top!


King Jr has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pacheco should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, King Jr has tightened it up now! Pacheco should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
